Ans. Griffin got furious with Mrs. Hall’s accusation of stealing money and of not paying her rent. He threw off his bandages, spectacles and became invisible. He hit everyone and escaped from there.
Griffin had selected an odd weather for wandering without clothes. It was bitterly cold. He could not go on without clothes. So in the evening he slipped into a big London store. He fitted himself with warm clothes, shoes, overcoat and a wide-brimmed hat. He took cold meat, coffee, meal, sweets and wine from the grocery store. But the assistants had already arrived before the scientist got up. Seeing them, Griffin started to run and they naturally chased him. So once again he became a homeless wanderer without clothes.

Ans. Griffin was a brilliant scientist. He carried out lots ‘of experiments to prove that the human body could become invisible. Finally he swallowed certain rare drugs and his body became as transparent as a sheet of glass-and it also. remained as solid as glass.
Revenge: His landlord disliked Griffin. He tried to eject Griffin. In revenge Griffin set fire to the house. To get away without being seen Griffin had to remove his clothes. And nobody could see him.

Q.3 Describe the episode that took place at Griffin’s room in Mrs. Halls’ inn.

Ans. That morning, Mr. and Mrs. Hall got up a little earlier than usual. They found the room of Griffin wide open which was usually closed. Mrs. Hall took it as her chance. She went into the room and found the bandages, false nose, glasses etc. lying about the room which he always wore. Meanwhile the bedpost and chair became alive. The chair charged straight at her legs. She fell down in hysterics. It was suspected that Griffin had made her room haunted. The village constable, Jaffers came to arrest him but he was struggling to catch a man who was invisible. So he fell down unconscious.

Ans. Griffin, indeed, was a brilliant scientist. He did several experiments to prove that human beings could become invisible. Finally, he discovered a rare drug. He swallowed it and his body became as transparent as glass. So, he was a brilliant scientist
But he was not a true scientist as he misused his discovery. He could use it for the benefit of human beings. But he did just the opposite. He stole money and so many other things. He threatened people and broke laws at his will. A danger for the society arose due to his lawless acts. So, it may be concluded that though Griffin was a brilliant scientist, he was not a true scientist.
