The Central Idea
The poem ‘keeping quiet’ is composed by Pablo Neruda. In this poem the poet asks all human beings to stop all worldly activities for a while. He stresses on spending a few moments in quiet introspection. It will wash away some chaos and trouble in the world. We are in trouble because we always make hurry in doing any work. Stillness does not mean utter inactivity. It can bring altogether a feeling of understanding, peace and tranquility in the troubled world.
कविता ‘चुप रहना’ पाब्लो नेरुदा द्वारा रचित है। इस कविता में कवि सभी मनुष्यों से कुछ समय के लिए सभी सांसारिक गतिविधियों को रोकने के लिए कहता है। वह कुछ पल शांत आत्मनिरीक्षण में बिताने पर जोर देते हैं। यह दुनिया में कुछ अराजकता और परेशानी को दूर कर देगा। हम मुसीबत में इसलिए होते हैं क्योंकि हम किसी भी काम को करने में हमेशा जल्दबाजी करते हैं। मौन का अर्थ पूर्ण निष्क्रियता नहीं है। यह पूरी तरह से अशांत दुनिया में समझ, शांति और शांति की भावना ला सकता है।
Stanza -1
Now we will count to twelve
And we will all keep still.
For once on the face of the earth
Let’s not speak in any language,
Let’s stop for one second,
And not move our arms so much.
अब हम बारह तक गिनती करेंगे और हम सब रहेंगे खामोश सिर्फ एक बार इस धरती पर हम कोई भाषा न बोलें.हम लम्हे भर के लिए रुक जायें और अपने बाजू इतने न हिलायें।
